Regency cane chair before recaning. A similar chair is pictured here with information here .

The cane was sagging and broken and the finish needed to be revived.

There was a broken rail on the cane chair which had to be repaired before any work began on the cane.

Caning work starts with golf tees being used to temporarily peg the cane.

Stage four completed the pattern is begining to take shape, the diagonals are woven next.

All six stages of the caning have now been completed and the edge beading has been added.

Finished chair, cleaned and waxed ready to be delivered back to the customer.

Plans made for a reproduction of an existing drop leaf table, made using traditional techniques.

The table was made with traditional tools and techniques, including hand cut dovetails.
